It is an extremely convenient and lovely little property located in Sous-Gare-Ouchy district just off the metro, and platform 8 and 9.

The best part is breakfast. Fruit salad, pancakes, assortment of yoghurts - and all this in absolutely office room with a working steam locomotive))). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The kettle in the room is very handy. For its microscopic dimensions, the room is quite well organized. Very convenient distance to the subway and supermarkets.
I certainly knew I was booking a hotel near the railroad. But the window of the room on the 3rd floor was right on the way out. And there's no ventilation in the room, except for the vent. And since I couldn't sleep, I had to open it. The Swiss trains are wonderful and they run almost silently. But they don't brake silently - and the station ads are also loud. Right in front of your windows. So waking up three times a night was a constant thing for us...

I planned the whole trip in the French part of Switzerland in terms of proximity to the stations and low price. This hotel was no exception. It's close to Lausanne station and the metro. The hotel has a free all-day ticket for public transport on arrival (as in other Swiss cities). The staff is friendly. You can leave your suitcase for 10 francs overnight and pick it up at another time. I did not need this option, but it was interesting to know about it. The view of the room was on the courtyard. The trains were inaudible. The furniture in the hotel was in the style of past centuries. It wasn't stressful, but I prefer the modern one.
We have to hold the front door of the hotel so it doesn't flirt. It'd be more convenient if there was a mechanism to slow it down.

The hotel is easy to get to, almost a stone's throw from Lausanne Gare. The Hotel is divided into 2 buildings, one is just behind the train tracks. I could touch a room that your window faces the station and train tracks and although the noise of the trains can be felt a little bit it was not a bother to me. Comfortable room, comfortable beds, the bathroom is spacious with a comfortable shower. Good size room. WiFi with good speed. Breakfast was fine although I had read comments that were very good to me it just seemed normal. The croissants are very good there is a variety of hams and cheeses, a pancake machine there are eggs for just boiling NOT scrambled eggs. I really liked that the hotel gives the guests a free card for public transportation within the city for the days that you are staying, even that card gives you discounts in museums and free entrance to the museums of the Ruminee Palace. The staff was kind enough to answer all our questions.

Location
(1) Noise: It is behind the train station. As long as midnight, the brake of trains was so loud with windows closed. (2) dirty: The air conditioner has to be turned on due to the noise from trains But the machine was full of dirts. (3) Room too small: It should remind travelers who carry luggages.

The location of the hotel was unbeatable - not too far away from The Olympic Museum. The breakfast was marvellous and particularly nice with fruit and beverages, as for instance, and the restaurant was pleasant. The staff was lovely and informative and we would come here again...

Nearness to station and easy to get to town
Having to pay extra for breakfast - thought it was included in booked price. Didn't like the modernistic taps. A bit cramped in the breakfast dining room, but the under floor model railway interesting.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and metro, making it easy to get around the city without wasting time on transportation. The attention to detail in the design, with a model railway under a glass floor, adds a unique and charming touch to the hotel. The staff is friendly and the basic amenities provided in the rooms, including colorful beds, ensure a comfortable stay. Additionally, the breakfast selection is of high quality and offers a delicious start to the day.
All was fine, no improvements needed.

Conveniently located near the train station and several restaurants. Laundromat was right across the street which was perfect for our stay.
Our room was in what would be a loft and was very very hot. The fans helped a bit, but this room definitely needed a strong air conditioner. I can only imagine in the summer months this would be a furnace.
